How do I use Voicemail on the Cisco Telephone System? (Bad link, broken tags.)
To facilitate communications between you, other College employees, and students you will be provided with a voice mailbox that you can access from both on and off campus by dialing 360-992-6150. If you do not have a voice mailbox check with your department secretary or call the Help Desk at 360-992-2425 on Monday - Fridays between 7:30am and 5:00pm.  We will need your full name and your division/department. Instructions for using voicemail will be emailed to you.

Setup Voicemail (on-campus)
Follow these steps to setup your voicemail from the on-campus telephone that has been assigned to you:
  1. Press the Messages button on the Cisco telephone.
  2. When prompted, enter your PIN, followed by the # sign.
  3. The default PIN is 112233; you will have an opportunity to set your own 6-digit PIN later in the set-up process.
  4. Follow the automated instructions to personalize your new voice mailbox.  In this step you will record your name and personal greeting, and change your PIN.
  5. CAUTION: to secure your voice mailbox from unauthorized access, you must change your PIN.
  6. Note - If you have forgotten your voicemail PIN, call the IT Help Desk at 360-992-2425 (ext. 2425) and a technician can reset the PIN for you.

Setup Voicemail (off-campus) 
Follow these steps to setup your voicemail from an off-campus telephone:
  1. Dial 360-992-6150 to access the remote mailbox feature.
  2. When you hear the recording, press the * key.
  3. Enter your ID followed by the # sign (ID is your phone extension).
  4. Enter your PIN followed by the # sign. (The default PIN is 112233. You will be prompted to change your PIN).
  5. Follow the automated instructions to personalize your new voice mailbox. In this step you will record your name and personal greeting, and change your PIN (your PIN must be 6-digits).
  6. Note - To secure your voice mailbox from unauthorized access, you must change your PIN. If you have forgotten your voicemail PIN, call the IT Help Desk at 360-992-2425 (ext. 2425) and a technician can reset the PIN for you.

Dialing on-campus 
To place a call to a Clark College phone extension (Clark main campus, Town Plaza Center (TPC), Clark
Center at WSUV, or Columbia Tech Center, CTC), simply dial the 4-digit phone extension.

Dialing Local and Long Distance from your Cisco Phone
  • To place a local call, dial 9 + 7-digit telephone number.
  • To place a call to a number in Portland (503 and 971 area codes only), dial 9 +
    area code + 7-digit telephone number (note that a “1” cannot precede the area code when placing Portland calls).
  • To place a toll free call, dial 9 + 1 + toll free area code + 7-digit telephone number.
  • To place a long distance call, dial 8 + 1 + area code + 7-digit telephone number.
  • When the special dial tone is heard, key in your 7-digit long distance access code.
  • Note - If you need to place long distance calls but do not have an access code, check with your department secretary or call the Help Desk at 360-992-2425.

Dialing 911 Emergency Services
In the event of a fire or life threatening emergency, dial 911. Please stay on the line with the 911 operator to direct emergency vehicles to the exact location of the emergency on campus. Call Campus Security as soon as possible at ext. 2133 (or press the Campus Security button on your Cisco phone).
